My best friend spoke to me last night
a soft whisper in my ear.
I woke up and looked around the room,
I was startled yet I had no fear.
ჱܓ
My best friend said that all is fine
Rainbow bridge is so much more.
That there was so much love up there,
even a beautiful ocean shore.
ჱܓ
There is fields and fields of green green grass
and the sky has different shades of blue.
There are flowers, mountains, trees and clouds,
everything they said it was, is true.
ჱܓ
My best friend whispered in my ear last night
saying "Please don't cry or be sad.
That what was done, had to be done,
for me to live my life now so be glad".
ჱܓ
My best friend said that I did the right thing
an unselfish act on my part.
And that this pain & sadness I feel
will be gone soon from my heart.
ჱܓ
I asked my best friend "How could this be
I miss you so much everyday.
That my heart hurts so much for you,
I wish there could of been another way".
ჱܓ
My best friend whispered in my ear last night
"You will always be in my heart.
Go on & live and love another,
because we will never really be apart".
ჱܓ
My best friend whispered in my ear last night
"it's time for me to go towards the light.
I just wanted to stop & say to you
go on my best friend, I'll be alright.
ჱܓ
I carry your unconditional love with me
I have done this from the very start".
I whispered back to my best friend last night,
"I'll always love you with all my heart."
ჱܓ
So good-bye my best friend as I looked up at the sky
a shooting star I see in a straight line.
Moving fast across the sky & out of sight,
I whispered,
"Good -bye my best friend, now,
I'll be just fine".

For My Guardian Angel
The snow has almost gone
Spring a few months away
Things that are most precious
They just don't seem to stay
Skates and ski's will be hung
In their place for another year
Boots, hats and mittens
Snow angels that I hold dear
People planting their flowers
The grass will again be green
The sun we shall see more often
Not hiding behind a screen
When I think of seasons in heaven
I know there could be only one
It must be filled with peace and love
And it's the angels that make the sun
Flowers are getting ready to bloom
Lily's, violets, and tulips too
I'd love to make an arrangement
And send it to heaven for you.

Others, who do not know,
Tiptoe around your name
Unaware that your name is silently
Written on my heart, my soul, my life
And inwardly I cry out to hear it spoken.
Others who do not know
Think of you as only in the past
And believe
That you only exist in my past too
Not understanding that you are
Past, Present, Future.
Others, who do not know,
Feel you as gone,
And fail to see the reality of you
Never being ‘truly’ gone from me.
The empty void of your absence
Is filled with your presence,
Your life will forever weave through mine
The divine bond cannot be severed.
Others who do not know,
Mistakenly may think that my love has been
Weakened by separation,
Feelings ceased,
Not so.
Entwined and strengthened
My love for you lives on
And has not died with death.
But you know all this,
If only others knew.

I said goodbye

Yesterday I said goodbye, a painful thing to do.
No one seems to understand, the love we have for you.
Sad is life when gentle souls must lose their earthly shell.
Leaving only tears to fill the space they used to dwell.
I don't see you waiting there, when I come through the door.
Only pictures on the wall, and blankets on the floor.
Still they smell of muddy paws and fur so old and grey.
Just another painful thing that made me cry today.
How I miss your silly bark and tiny little face.
Oh how loud the quiet seems when you’re not in this place!
Once more I walk by the shelf that holds your collar there.
Sitting by the leather coat we gave to you to wear.
Little comfort do they give although they make me smile.
Realizing you're truly gone will surely take a while.
In the meantime little friend, although we are apart;
you still occupy a space that's deep within our hearts...
Love...Mommy and Daddy.......

Heaven's Gate
Perhaps the greatest of all miracles of healing
is when we reach our eternal destination ...
where the only tears are of those left behind.
May we embrace and comfort each other in our time of loss.
But, may our lasting memory be a Spiritual celebration -
envisioning our loved one, walking through Heaven's gate.
Were they able to speak today,
I suspect our loved one would say,
"In deepest sympathy ... to those on the other side."

Saying Goodbye

No one expects to say goodbye to someone they love.
How can one say goodbye when they know they will never see them again?
How can one say goodbye when they know they can't bear too?
How can one say goodbye when they know they will be left behind?
How can one say goodbye when they know saying goodbye means no one to play with, no one to talk to, and no one to look after?
How can one say goodbye when a final goodbye is so hard to say?
So how can one say goodbye?
Goodbye is to say they will be missed.
Goodbye is to say that they will still be loved.
Goodbye is to say hope you are okay and having fun up in Rainbow Bridge.
Goodbye finally means it will take a long time to get over your loved one and that no one will or could take your place, though you are remembered and always in our hearts.
May you feel relief and happiness instead of sickness and sadness.
May you finally be able to do all the things you wanted to do and always dreamed about.
May you finally be free…so this is the last goodbye.
